Sloths
I happened to see a short documentary about sloths. They have no interest whatsoever in personal hygiene and are probably the dirtiest animals on Earth, they can sleep for 18 hours, wake up to scratch and then go back to sleep, they constantly move in slow motion because anything other than sleeping is such a drag, and they can swim. Or just… like… float, because they’re sloths and they don’t give a damn.
It Rained This Morning
It rained this morning. Everyone was leaving, and for reasons I myself am not sure of, I started crying. Through the rain and the sound of a piano playing the saddest music I’d ever heard, she screamed at me with anger in her voice and tears in her eyes. “What’s wrong with you”, she kept screaming.
I tried to hide my face, but then sunshine ruined everything.
A Stranger in My House
I woke up today and a strange man greeted me from the mirror. I politely asked him to leave my house, but he just kept mocking me. When the police arrived, they suggested I “get help”, whatever that meant.
“Serendipity”
My favorite word today is “serendipity”.
“1. The faculty of making fortunate discoveries by accident.
2. The fact or occurrence of such discoveries.
3. An instance of making such a discovery.”
It’s a fun little word, happy and playful; “serendipity”. All the other words should learn from it.
